Asylum Tracker — US asylum statistics from public EOIR, USCIS and ICE data

San Francisco Asylum Office: Published Workload and Outcomes

Historical USCIS reporting through Dec 2024. These figures are not current office workload or processing-time estimates. Historical office outcomes do not predict an individual result, interview date or wait. USCIS affirmative asylum data differ from EOIR immigration court decisions.

How we estimate

Office approval rate = approvals / (approvals + denials or referrals to an immigration judge). Administrative closures and dismissals are excluded. Pending applications are a period-end stock, never a sum of months. Rates need at least 2 reported decisions; rankings need at least 30 in the same period. These pages do not rank offices. Suppressed cells and missing periods remain unavailable.

The three-letter keys in these URLs are Asylum Tracker API identifiers, not official USCIS office codes. The city names identify the reporting offices, not a verified street address.

Each quarter shows its observed months. A partial quarter and a missing quarter are different; no missing months are filled with zero.

These are received applications for the reported leading citizenships, not asylum approvals or approval rates by country. USCIS publishes the top 10 countries per office; this list is not exhaustive. A suppressed count is not shown as zero.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I find current asylum office contact details?

Use the official USCIS asylum office locator linked above. The city in this dataset is the reporting office name; it is not necessarily the street-address city. Verify contacts with USCIS before visiting.

Are these current USCIS processing times?

No. These are historical receipts and outcomes from imported USCIS workbooks, with the reporting cutoff shown above. They cannot estimate an interview date or the wait for a pending application.

How is the office approval rate calculated?

Approvals are divided by approvals plus denials or referrals to an immigration judge. Administrative closures and dismissals are excluded. Rates with fewer than 2 reported decisions or suppressed source cells are unavailable. Rankings require at least 30 decisions in the same period; these pages do not rank offices.

Do citizenship receipts show approval rates by country?

No. Citizenship tables count applications received for the leading reported countries. They do not contain outcomes by nationality and cannot support a USCIS approval rate by country. Missing and suppressed counts are not zero.
